Chloe Logarzo in tears after Australia’s victory

Chloe Logarzo in tears after Australia’s victory.

Australia made it to a historic World Cup semi-final.

Then star Chloe Logarzo burst into tears.

– I am so proud, she says in Australian Optus Sport.

When Tony Gustavsson’s World Cup squad was reduced from 29 to 23 players, Kansas City star Chloe Logarzo did not get a place.

Without Logarzo, “The Mathildas” has written history. The nation knocked out France on penalties to advance to the nation’s first World Cup semi-final.

Meanwhile, Chloe Logarzo followed the drama from the Optus Sports television studio.

After the match – which Cortnee Vine decided – she burst into tears.

– I can’t even explain it, Logarzo said in the broadcast.

– We have run out of words. Tears are flowing. It’s huge. The first Australian team advances to the semi-finals. We need a drink or ten, but what an icy moment from Cortnee Vine.

“Feels amazing”
She describes being proud, rather than disappointed, to not be part of the triumph.

– And I’m so proud of the players who missed those penalties, they stood up because it takes a lot of courage to be able to do that. And I couldn’t be prouder than that we are making history. And I can just feel how amazing it feels and I’m so proud.
